In April of 2010, Sanborn collected aerial LiDAR for the City of New York. The data collected will help facilitiate development of up-to-date maps showing areas most prone to flooding, buildings best suited for installation of solar power, neighborhoods most in need of trees, as well as to determine locations of existing wetlands areas within the city.
